Inland Port
A planning application has been submitted for the Inland Port at Rossington near Doncaster.
A proposal to create a strategic rail freight interchange adjacent to M18 Junction 3 and west of Rossington Colliery.
A Strategic Rail Frieght Interchange delivering 570,000 sqm (over 6 million sqft) of rail connected warehousing and a rail freight intermodal terminal.
Building on Doncaster's reputation as a logstics hub, the site is located next to junction 3 of the M18 providing excellent access to the UK's motorway network.
Doncaster is also well located on the rail network, and the site benefits from easy access to the East Coast Main Line, Lincoln Line and Mineral Line providing connections to Humber and Southern ports, Channel Tunnel as well as the UK's conurbations.
