Born in 1949 Assem joined Citibank in 1974. There he spent time initially in Jordan and Saudi Arabia, working in various positions in the Corporate Bank. In 1985 he moved to London to establish and head the Middle East/Africa Private Bank Division, growing the business from start-up to one of major international significance. In 1991 he left the bank to manage the offshore assets of one of his major clients, the majority shareholder in Helios.

Born in 1958, David joined John Laing Construction in 1977 and served an articled pupilship gaining his RICS qualifications alongside Trevor at Salford. David had two spells with Laing
working on multi-million pound public buildings before joining Shepherd Construction Northern as quantity surveying departmental head and then Willmott Dixon as Commercial Director of their Leeds operations. Before joining Helios in 2006, David headed up Willmott Dixon’s national development arm for over six years and has experience in all aspects of development from site procurement, negotiations with land owners, planning strategy, occupier negotiations and project construction including legal agreements and funding.

As well as his responsibilities in Helioscity, David is also responsible for the development of Wynyard Park in the Tees Valley which is a 700 acre site in a woodland setting in which Helios Properties are a shareholder. This is a highly complex major development with over 6 million sq ft of consented business space that is currently the subject of a mixed use Masterplan to amend the planning, centred on a new £400m NHS Hospital and involves the management of an extensive team of consultants, lawyers, liaison with local authorities and regional government stakeholders.

Lee qualified from the University of Leeds in 2004 with a Degree in Astrophysics before deciding to transfer his skills to the world of finance and accountancy. Currently part CIMA qualified; he is working towards becoming a Chartered Management Accountant. Lee began his career as part of an accounts team in the motor industry before moving to the position of assistant accountant in the environmental services consultancy industry. He joined Helios in June 2010 as a financial accountant to further his knowledge and skills, and to apply them to an exciting new challenge.

Rob attained a degree in Accounting and Finance at Birmingham City University in 1990. He then returned to his home town of Leeds and joined Sagars Chartered Accountants. After seven years in practice working in audit, business services and finally setting up the first Sage Solution Centre in a firm of Chartered Accountants in Leeds, he decided to move into industry. He first joined a manufacturing subsidiary of Chapelthorpe plc where he obtained his CIMA qualification in 1998. Following a two year spell with a privately owned manufacturing company, he joined Syltone plc (bought by Gardner Denver Inc. in 2003) as Financial Controller for their subsidiary Gardner Denver Drum Ltd. After nine years with this company he sought a new challenge and joined Helios in April 2010.

Ross joined Helios in 2007. Prior to that Ross worked in the National Industrial Markets team at Jones Lang LaSalle and more recently as the portfolio lettings’ manager at Evans of Leeds. Ross’s main responsibilities for Helios include strategic asset management, investment acquisition and identifying developmemt opportunities.

Trevor is a founding main Board Director of Helios, establishing the company in 1996 when it merged with his own company Fifth Avenue. He has over 20 years experience at director level and has ongoing responsibility for the strategic direction and management of the Helios business.
